Additional Details

WITH--U.A. Walker, New York. Photogravure, 11x14 1/2 inches (27.9x36.8 cm.), sheet size 17 1/4x21 1/4 inches (43.8x53.9 cm.), with Sugimoto's signature, in pencil, on recto. 1978; printed 2000.

The photogravure is housed in a piano-hinged, brushed aluminum slipcase and remains sealed in the original publisher's box, which bears a label and the edition number 935/1000.

These "shining screens," as Sugimoto described them, are the result of a single exposure made for the duration of a feature-length movie. The result is both a brilliant representation of architecture and light, and an elegant meditation on time and experience.
