"I know nothing more of 'Georgius Kloes of Frankfurt' than that some thirty or forty years ago a lot of fine old books--'incunabula,' many of them--bearing his name and comments on their rarity, etc, such as a collector would be like to make, apparently made by him. I bought a couple of nice specimens, one without date, but considered by him as of 1474, the other a truly magnificent specimen of early printing from the heirs of Nicholas Jensen of the date 1481. The first . . . I gave it to the Boston Athenaeum. The other I have still. . . ."
