Possibly an intermediate state of the cordiform world map which appeared in a number of editions, as well as in atlases and commentaries by others. Shirley notes a first state printed in 1546 and dated on the map (Shirley 86). This copy lacks the date on the map. He also notes a later edition from 1561 with the American continents redrawn and the addition of clouds or windheads. The American configuration on this map corresponds to the 1546 edition and lacks the addition of clouds and windheads (Shirley 108).
