A highly detailed fire insurance atlas of the greater Miami area and an important record of Miami's history. Much of what appears in the atlas has been radically altered with development. The atlas is divided into two parts, each with a separate title-page. The first is devoted to Miami proper and the mainland suburbs, such as Coral Gables and Coconut Grove, and consists of an index sheet and forty double-page plans. The second part covers Miami Beach and North Miami Beach with an index sheet and thirteen plans.
