Liturgical manuscript in Dutch, written in Gothic script in brown ink with rubrics in red, 18 lines, recto and verso, on vellum. with five seven-line divisional initials in red and blue with penwork decoration in colors merging into full ornamental borders; 21 four- and 9 three-line initials alternately in red and blue with penwork decoration and marginal extensions; numerous one- and two-line initials in red and blue. Ruled in red throughout. 202 leaves. 127x86 mm, 18th-century calf gilt, surface heavily rubbed and crackled; some dampstaining in upper and lower margins, first page of calendar soiled, first page of the Office of the Dead ruled but otherwise left blank. 19th-century bookplate of W. H. H. Newman of Buffalo, N.Y. Northern Netherlands, later 15th century
