Profusion of illustrations. 8vo, original wrappers with a bust portrait of Houdini on the front cover, spine fold crudely reinforced with cellotape, with some resultant staining; with an owner's inscription on the inside of the front cover reading, "This Book given to me by Harry Houdini in his dressing room at the Orpheum Theater - Wichita Kansas Nov. 30, 1923. A. Loring Campbell - Magician," and with an additional owner's inscription on the rear cover and Mr. Campbell's magical business card mounted on the terminal leaf. Np, circa 1923

A. Loring Campbell (1905-1979) began his career in 1920 in a minstrel show as "Cambello the Clown Magician" and also performed a Chinese act before finding vaudeville success.<
