Additional Details

An incredibly long run of this ephemeral newspaper insert which came with the New York World. The issues here are in very fine shape since they appear to have been bound around the time of their issue. The five volumes here may well have been file copies for the newspaper office. Red Magic had its defenders and detractors. The magazine exposed the mechanics of many well-known and popular tricks. Houdini was widely criticized for publicly revealing the "art" of magic.<
