HOWARD THURSTON'S PRODUCTION TUBES. Two magnificent production tubes used by Thurston in his shows, and subsequently by Will Rock. One is a Raymond Tube. The tubes are painted black, with brass ring fixtures at each end securing black silk covers wonderfully brocaded in gold thread with dragons and clouds. Tubes are 26 inches tall (65.5 cm) and 8 inches in diameter (20 cm). They are accompanied by the original mammoth gold colored silk showing the sun - 72 inches square (184 cm). Housed in the original wooden transport case. Acquired from collector Charles KIRKHAM, who purchased a large amount of Thurston apparatus from Will Rock.
