Hugh Botts was a well known and respected print maker who was best known for New York City scenes. When Botts died in 1964 at the age of 61, he was referred to as among the 10 best printmakers in the country by Who's Who in American Art. Mr. Botts was a member of the American Society of Etchers, Engravers, Lithographers and Woodcutters, Inc and was the former national director of the Audubon Art Association.
