Additional Details

This unauthorized account of Ross's second voyage is based in part on statements by William Light, the purser's steward aboard the Victory. It is an entirely different work from the official account of the voyage. The first two chapters comprise a summary of previous voyages in search of the Passage, including Ross's first expedition.
