Folio format single leaf (leaf CCCV) printed in forty lines, capital strokes and added manuscript headline done by hand in red, with large margins; Winship's essay bound in full russet morocco by Krumin of Boston, tooled in blind in 15th century style triple-ruled compartments and blind-stamps over beveled boards, slightly rubbed, small area of darkening at the foot of the spine, the leaf housed in a special panel inside the back board; binding protected by a textured dust wrapper (spine with hole, tape repairs to inside) and a matching slightly worn and chipped black slipcase, the leaf 10 7/8 x 8 1/4 in.; bound essay 12 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.
