Antoni was a graphic designer and illustrator whose playful, childlike style captured the hearts of people around the world. He designed logos for companies and product packaging, but he particularly liked designing posters. He worked for some of the largest companies in Scandinavia, including Politken, Carlsberg, Volvo, Tuborg, and the DSB (Danish Railway), and tourism posters account for much of his work. By all accounts, this image for the Spanish clown Charlie Rivel was his favorite. A famous photograph shows Antoni posing with a bird on his nose in front of a copy of the poster. Charlie Rivel's daughter was married to Albert Schumann, who was running his family's circus in Denmark. Circus 105.
