i) Standing Nude, (SF234). Charcoal on paper. 642x483 mm; 25¼x19 inches.
ii) Seated Nude, (SF235). Charcoal on paper. Signed, Esther Slobodkin, (the artist's first wife) and inscribed, Ha! That would've been a day! Ilya's, no doubt. at bottom. 629x483 mm; 24¾x19 inches.
iii) Reclining Nude, (SF236). Charcoal on paper. 623x483 mm; 24½x19 inches.

Provenance: The artist; Esphyr Slobodkina; The Slobodkina Foundation. These works are recorded in the Slobodkina Foundation's archives as numbers SF234, 235, 236.

Esphyr Slobodkina enrolled at the National Academy of Design in 1928. There she met her future husband and mentor, Ilya Bolotowsky in 1931. These drawings were probably works Ilya made while at the National Academy of Design.
