Indiana helped raise over one million dollars for Barack Obama's 2008 presidential campaign, generated by the sale of campaign materials created from his artworks, including the acrylic and silkscreen painting HOPE (2008), and his steel sculpture of the same name and date, which visitors to the Democratic National Convention in August of 2008 could view as they approached the Pepsi Center in Denver, CO, where it was on display.
