Two different planes in the early South African Airways fleet are flying over the continental route system. One is the Junkers 86, of which 17 were delivered to the airline between 1937 and 1939. In 1935, SAA was incorporated into South African Railways and Harbors (S. A. R. & H.), whose initials became part of the airline's logo.
