second and best edition, enlarged by 60 pages. George Jackson (1941-1971), one of the so-called Soledad brothers, was on trial for murder when his younger brother burst into the courtroom with an automatic weapon, freeing Jackson and two others. They took with them the judge, D.A. and three jurors as hostage. As they attempted to flee, a hail of gunfire killed the hostages. Angela Davis was implicated in the deaths because she had purchased one of the weapons.
