Signed, titled, dated, inscribed "Artist Proof" and numbered 4/25 in pencil, lower margin. Published by the Amistad Research Center, New Orleans, LA, with the blind stamp lower left. A very good, inky impression with strong colors.
General Touissaint L'Ouverture is based on the 20th image from Lawrence's original series of 41 paintings from 1938. It is also the most sought-after screenprint from the series of 15 made between 1986-97. Nesbett L86-2.
