The untitled manuscript includes doodle of a hand In "L'Enfer" he imagines what hell must be like ("L'enfer est ce que je mérite ... ") "Paradis" describes similar concerns with mortality and speculations on the afterlife ("... Oh! si ma mort doit m'y conduire, faites que je meure à l'instant même ... "). The manuscripts give a good idea of Jacob's characteristic dexterity with that oft-abused animal, the prose poem.
