According to Van Schaack, the current drawing is likely by Carletto Caliari (1570-1596), the youngest son of Paolo Veronese. The drawing is a detail of the three animals in the lower right corner of Veronese's Feast at the House of Simon, 1567-70, now in the Pinacoteca di Brera, Milan.
