Engraving, circa 1499. 132x165 mm; 5 1/4x6 1/2 inches. Gothic letter P with a quatrefoil watermark (Briquet 8652). With thread margins or trimmed on the plate mark. A very good impression of this extremely scarce, early engraving, with strong contrasts and little to no sign of wear. We have found only 3 other impressions at auction in the past 30 years.
