JACQUES AURIAC (1922-2003) POTEZ. Circa 1960s. 62 1/2x46 inches, 158x116 3/4 cm. De La Vasselais, Paris. Condition A-: minor abrasions and restoration in image; minor creases and repaired tears at edges. Auriac studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris and went on to a career as a poster designer. He worked under contract for de La Vasselais, a large French publisher that also represented Hervé Morvan, and at one time, Raymond Savignac. Auriac worked on many prominent accounts including Bally, Evian, Gitanne cigarettes and various airlines. Color, vibrancy and humor are all qualities evident in Auriac's poster design.
