Etching, circa 1630. 449x355 mm; 17 3/4x14 inches. Trimmed on or just inside the plate mark but outside the border line, skinning verso, the edges outside the border line reinforced. A very good, early impression of this important Mannerist print, with the delicate wiping scratches visible throughout and with warm plate tone.
A very scarce print, we have found fewer than 6 impressions at auction over the past 20 years. Griffiths/Hartley 12.
