Condition A-: minor creases and restoration in margins and along vertical and horizontal folds; light offsetting in upper image. Jacques and Pierre Bellenger were twin brothers who worked together their whole lives. After studying at the Académie Julian, they opened a studio and worked on advertising campaigns for major companies. This early image foreshadows their later work in its light Art Deco influence, vivid colors and clever, good-humored concepts.
