MacDonald's third state (of 3), an earlier impression in this state, with the long, curved vertical drypoint lines to the left of the signature lower left and with abundant burr on the drypoint shading lines, on the signature lower left and on the title lower center, but before the multitude of corrosion spots on the front of the dress. A superb, dark and richly-inked impression with strong contrasts and crisp, inky plate edges. Kennedy 30; Glasgow 32.
