MacDonald's eighth state (of 8), with the drypoint lines extending the reflections under the sailing boat at left. Signed and inscribed "4 (ot.29)" in pencil, lower margin. MacDonald notes similar notations on other impressions of this state, likely Whistler's early effort at editioning impressions.
