A startlingly Art Deco-style poster map. A mythological cartouche and other mythological figures ornament the image, also featuring constellations (TWA was the first airline to train pilots in celestial navigation) and elaborate vignettes from all of the world's continents, even if the airline's network didn't reach them; with metallic gold and silver ink. Before the Second World War, TWA was flying the fast, popular and successful DC-3s and the Boeing Stratoliners. After the war, Howard Hughes switched to the Lockheed Constellations, the beloved "Connies".
