With the publisher's hand corrected prospectus (now calling for 24 volumes). The ANS (folded, 16 April 1882, "My Dear Sir") concludes with a salutation in James' hand to journalist and philanthropist F.B. Sanborn who wrote several biographies of American Trancendentalists.
