JAMES J. WILLIAMS (1853-1926) An album with 24 photographs of Hawaii, including Princess Kaiulani, surfers, landscapes, cityscapes, agricultural scenes, and more. The portrait of Princess Kaiulani (The Last Princess) is rare, and the album features a broad spectrum of Old Hawaiian scenes, including Iolani Palace, Honolulu, Waikiki, flora and other natural landscape, commerce, and more. Albumen prints, the images measuring approximately 7 1/4x9 1/2 inches (18.4x24.1 cm.), and the reverse, mounted recto/verso, four with Williams' credit and thirteen with a location or caption in the negative, and the first with a caption and each page with a sequential number in ink on mount recto; with a handwritten sheet listing each image in ink laid in.
