A striking Art Deco image of the famed Normandie at sea, at the center of a decorative compass, circled by the liner's various destinations. This is the version before text. This extremely rare Normandie poster appears to have been designed for the Universal Exposition in Paris, 1937, as the only copy to have come up for sale with text which reads "Services Reguliers / Croisieres / Et Circuits/ Exposition Internationale Paris 1937 / Palais de la Marine Marchande Quai d'Orsay." Auvigne did a lot of work for the French Line, also designing brochures, magazine covers and postcards.
