JAN SAENREDAM (after Bloemaert)
Venus, Ceres and Bacchus.

Engraving, circa 1600-05. 272x207 mm; 10 3/4x8 1/8 inches, narrow to thread margins. Second state (of 3). Four quadrant coat-of-arms watermark. Ex-collection Albert van Loock (Lugt 3752, verso). A brilliant, early impression of this exceptional Mannerist print, with crisp, partially inky plate edges and the guide lines for the text in the lower margin distinct.
