Color lithograph printed in black and gray on Italia paper, 1965-66. 857x482 mm; 34x19 inches, full margins. Signed, dated and numbered 80/100 in pencil, lower margin. Printed and published by ULAE, West Islip, with the blind stamp lower left recto. A very good impression.
Recent Still Life was originally commissioned by the List Art Poster Program for the American Federation of Arts and used as a poster for the Rhode Island School of Design's 1965 exhibition of Johns' (born 1930) works. After the unsigned collotype poster edition was made, ULAE printed the limited and pencil signed color lithograph edition on handmade Italia paper. Field 50.
