in French, reporting that he is improving but feeling weak, reassuring that he is being visited by Spanish friends, decling to commit to date because doctor might require that he stay in the mountains, expressing joy at his joy, congratulating him for not following fashionable pessimism, reporting that "Doudou" [Édouard Dermit] is in Paris working on costumes and set design for a ballet by Roland Petit [Ballets de Paris at Alhambra Theatre], and closing by remarking, "I hate separations. The farce of life is too short." Each 1 page, 4to, third letter on "Santo-Sospir" stationery; folds, minor scattered offsetting to second letter.
