Dupas was trained as an academic painter and later became both a successful graphic designer and interior decorator. His elegant style is the essence of refined and luxurious French Art Deco. Outside of the poster world he is largely remembered for his illustrations done for Vogue, splendid brochures done for Max Furrier produced by Draeger and his decorations for the steamship Normandie. Within the poster world his most famous work was for the XVme Salon des Artists Decorateurs. He also designed posters for the fashion world in both Paris and London, where he did work for the London Underground as well. In all, he designed six posters for the Underground.
