"In 1933, with the formation of the London Passenger Transport Board, a new logo was introduced. Designed by C.W. Bacon, the winged symbol only lasted a short while and was soon replaced by the familiar, and slightly reproportioned bullseye" (Pleasure Trips p. 84).
