JEAN JACQUELIN AU MAROC PAR AVION / AEROPOSTALE. Circa 1930.
311/2x24 inches. Step, Paris
Condition A.
Aeropostale was originally named Lignie Aeriennes Latecoere after its founder and airplane manufacturer, Pierre G. Latecoere. His first flight between Paris and Morocco was in 1919 and he was running daily service as early as 1920. The company assumed the name Aeropostale in 1927. Pictured here appears to be Latecoere's plane, the Late 25, cutting an anachronistic image flying over the minarets of Morocco.
