Miró (1893-1983) worked indefatigably until the end of his long career. One of his largest, most ambitious sculptures, The Sun, the Moon and One Star (Miró's Chicago), was completed and installed in the downtown Loop area of Chicago in 1981. According to Dupin, "Miró was a prolific engraver whose work would often accumulate beyond what a print studio could handle. The engraver is always ahead of the printer; at his death, Miró left behind 80 prints, each complete with its B.A.T. (bon à tirer impression), dated and signed. Over the following years they were printed and published, stamped with his signature, numbered and certified on the back by his grandson for the Miró estate." Dupin 1225.
