One of 18 posthumous impressions, from a total edition of 29 recorded impressions in both states, lifetime and posthumous. Initialed "JHT per AT" by the artist's son Alden Twachtman in pencil, lower right. A superb impression of this very scarce etching.
According to Baskett, "The harbor depicted was probably either along the Hudson River in New York City or New Jersey. Lisa Peters has identified the waterfront of Jersey City in a number of works by Twachtman from this period (Peters, John Henry Twachtman, San Diego Museum of Art, circa 1979, figure 78). Baskett 2.
