John Leech was the pre-eminent Punch cartoonist before Sir John Tenniel. He is also remembered for being the original illustrator of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol (1843). Includes the sketch for 'BLOOMERISM!,' an early jab at Victorian feminism that appeared in Punch in 1851.
