In 1950, with his award of the John Hay Whitney Fellowship, Wilson and his wife, Julie moved to Mexico City where he studied mural painting at the Esmeralda School of Art.
A very good, dark impression of this scarce print. Other impressions are in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Pensylvania Academy of the Fine Arts.
