JOS VAN WOERKOM (1902-1992) KRO BOYS / DE TWAALF VAN PIET OP TOURNEE. Circa 1932. 33 1/2x25 inches, 85x63 1/2 cm. Condition A-: minor creases in margins and image; tape on verso along minor tears. Paper. Little is known about this artist who created a small handful of modernist posters, with this image for an orchestra's tour being one of his best. The KRO (Katholieke Radio Omroep, Catholic Radio Broadcasting) was founded in 1925. The Kro-Boys orchestra was formed in 1932 under the direction of Piet Lustenhouwer.
