Originally issued in an edition of 75 and titled I-S a, the screens for this print were later used for an unsigned, un-numbered edition (see Danilowitz 184). The current work is from this unsigned, un-numbered edition; the pencil inscriptions were added later by another hand. Albers never produced a print with the title Homage to the Square: Mild Signal.
