Condition B+: tape, tape residue and skinning in corners. Paper.
A Boeing 377 Stratocruiser flies over one of the Hawaiian islands (the topography suggests Maui), over scenes of surfers, tropical fish, native life, vacationers and exotic flora and fauna. Hungarian-born Feher studied art in Budapest, Italy and Germany before coming to America in 1928, where he had a scholarship to study at the Art Institute of Chicago. He moved to Hawaii in 1947, worked as a designer for the Bishop Museum and taught at the Honolulu Academy of the Arts. One of his largest commissions was with United Airlines, for whom he designed about a dozen posters featuring different destinations; that two of them were for Hawaii is indicative of the passion he had for his adopted state, a sentiment further enforced by the fact that he also designed a new Hawaiian state seal and a statehood commemorative stamp. Airlines p. 52.
