Condition B / B+: repaired tears, creases, restored losses and staining in margins and image; restoration along vertical and horizontal folds. This poster is in many ways the partner of the previous lot. No longer "where are they coming from?" this poster asks, "where are they taking her?" It is a visual allegory of an attempt to move the cabaret scene from Montmartre to central Paris. "Le Violin" was one such club, but it is also a play on words, being French slang for police station.
