"Multiple events, renewed and enhanced every year, represented one of the assets of the Principality [of Monaco] and a reason to retain the rich clientele after the traditional winter season and the climax of the Nice Carnival. The Month of April was therefore chosen for the motorboat competition" (Grun p. 126). Grün designed a second poster for this event five years later in 1910. Grun p. 127, Azur 245, Art Nouveau p. 144, Maitres 1900 p. 35.
