This poster represents a turning point in Grün's career; the emergance of a style that he would continue to use for years. He depicts women in red and white who stand out against the black background, and his men are visible only via their lighter colored highlights, essentially emerging out of the background. Also emerging from the background are the familiar faces of two policemen (in this case they are caricatures of Fursy and Ropiquet, the men who opened up the Tréteau de Tabarin). The caption on the poster "Where are they coming from?" combined with Grün's typically sensuous and curvy women, magnificently implies the wonderful evening shared by these revelers so far, and the licentious things to come. Grün p. 32, DFP II 430.
