"Last year Meyer wrote a little report on my German seminar. This year, he tried it again, but it turned out all wrong, mired down in emotional mush. I suppressed it. Would you be interested in doing something of that sort--with the necessary prudence? It wouldn't have to be anything long; just not 'metaphorical,' but rather stressing the epistemological difficulty.
