First edition, limited issue, two small quarto volumes; no. 208 of 300 copies, signed by Jay and the contributing artists on colophon; the first volume is a historical essay illustrated with images on the history of the "blow book," the second volume (a blow book itself) features multi-color illustrations by contemporary American artists Vija Celmins, Jane Hammond, Glenn Ligon, Philip Taaffe, and William Wegman; bound in original black blind-stamped wrappers, with a small white devil printed amongst the lettering; housed in a blue silk clamshell box decorated with red and silver metallic playing card motifs, the original white paper wrappings and prospectus laid in; 10 x 8 in.
