This work on paper is likely of Breton or Meudon children from the late 1910s. John settled in Meudon in 1910, at 29 rue Terre Neuve; her studio, the street, and her surroundings appear in many of her works. This physical transition coincided with a spiritual one; John started to study Catholicism in Meudon and frequently made sketches in church.
