KARL OSCAR BLASE (1925- ) MODERNE KUNST AUS USA. 1955.
33x231/4 inches.
Condition A. Paper.
From 1952-1958 Blasé was the designer for the American Houses in Germany. It was an important network for American cultural and social propaganda and Blasé was in charge of poster and catalogue design as well as exhibition architecture. For the many posters and catalogues he designed he mixed pure colors with photography, assembling them in a logical use of space to advertise everything from salmon fishing to industrial design education in the USA. Here, the geometrical arrangement is strict but not rigid due to the mix of photo and color. Blase, p. 32.
