This self-portrait by Haring (1958-1990), represented in the pose of a crouching sphinx, was used as the design for the invitation which admitted one guest to a dinner in honor of Haring, hosted by the art dealers Tony Shafrazi and Leo Castelli at Palladium in Union Square, New York, on October 26, 1985.
